# BearVPN Connection Drops, How to Fix?

If your BearVPN connection keeps dropping or disconnecting unexpectedly, don’t worry — this can usually be fixed by adjusting a few settings or checking your network. Follow the steps below to stabilize your VPN connection.

## 1. Check Your Internet Stability
A weak or unstable internet connection may cause VPN dropouts.
* Test your Wi-Fi or mobile data without BearVPN.
* If possible, switch to a stronger network or move closer to your router.

## 2. Switch VPN Protocols
Different protocols perform better on different networks.
* Go to **BearVPN app settings**.
* Switch between protocols (e.g., OpenVPN, IKEv2, WireGuard).
* Try reconnecting and see if the connection is more stable.

## 3. Change VPN Server
Overloaded or distant servers may cause disconnections.
